Shell cores
- miscellaneous small to large. |
In early 1992 Dynamic Casting Services started manufacturing shell moulds and cores for the New Zealand foundry industry, initially it was limited to local delivery but later expanded to cover the North Island.
Initially both cores and moulds were manufactured from New Zealand sourced resin coated sand, but in 1997 trials were carried out using Australian sourced resin coated sand. This had advantages for us as a manufacturer and also for the customer in that a greater range of resin percentages, sand grades and AFS numbers was available ex stock. This together with the technical support received caused us to use the Australian sourced product range exclusively.
Solid resin and hot coating technology is used which results in a product that has significant advantages over liquid and other solid resin processes in the area of OH&S, cost, environmental and quality. Less resin is required to attain the same strengths, which results in less fuming and emissions during manufacturing and casting. This results in a cleaner working environment for your employees.

Dynamic Casting Services has over 10 years experience in the manufacture of shell moulds and cores for other New Zealand foundries and has gained a reputation for competitive pricing, prompt delivery and expertise in producing difficult to manufacture products.
We have three shell core blowing machines and one shell moulding machine currently in operation and have spare machine capacity and people with experience available to operate them. In the past we have manufactured shell cores from less than 5 grammes (10mm diameter by 20mm long) to over 4 kilograms in weight (650mm long by 200mm wide by 100mm deep).
